Userbus's Blackbaud Remind sync moves data from Blackbaud's K–12 Student Information System to Remind, a communication platform for education.
By default, sync includes classes, enrollments, students, parents, teachers, staff, relationships, and schools. Userbus adheres to Remind's CSV 2.0 specification.
Data Type | Fields |
---|---|
Classes |
|
Class Enrollments | Associates users with their classes |
Users: Students, Parents, Teachers, and Staff |
|
Student/Parent Relationships | Links students to their parents/guardians |

|
School Enrollments | Associates users to schools without associating them with a class. Examples include support staff, specialists, and administrators. |
These settings are included with the sync and are configured for free. All of them are optional.
Customization requests can often be accommodated for a one-time implementation fee. Let us know what you're looking for; we'd be happy to discuss.
Cool Academy has three school levels in Blackbaud: Lower, Middle, and Upper.
By default, the three levels will sync to Remind separately.
The school opts to merge the levels before sending them to Remind.
Userbus merges the levels into a single level named Cool Academy in its Remind data. Classes from all three levels will show up in Remind under Cool Academy instead of under Lower, Middle, and Upper School. The school levels remain separate in Blackbaud.
This customzation is optional.
If your school has existing data in Remind, Remind will remove it when you start syncing with Userbus. (Remind does this when you change from any sync method to another.)
However, message history and accounts will not be removed from Remind. This lets teachers review past communications if needed.
Message history is archived, and accounts will be added back if their email addresses and phone numbers match those in Blackbaud.
The sync can run:
